Simon is Executive Publisher at Emerald Group Publishing. He has been at Emerald for 12 years and spent most of that time as a journal publisher, responsible for Accounting and Finance titles.
More recently he has managed Emerald’s strategic relationships and surround services to its customers, and was a lead for business and product innovation in the company. He has wide experience of journal acquisitions, research performance evaluation and publishing ethics, and has presented to academic audiences more than 100 times in a dozen countries.
Simon has Masters degrees in Philosophy and International Business, and has published in ISI-ranked journals on bibliometrics, national research assessment exercises and the academic-practitioner divide.
