The New England Journal of Entrepreneurship (NEJE) is a double blind peer reviewed journal that publishes original papers on various topics of entrepreneurship and small & family-owned business management.

The journal welcomes original work which contributes to the advancement of the field of entrepreneurship. NEJE publishes conceptual and empirical articles to facilitate dialogues among academic scholars, business practitioners, and policy makers.

Aims & scope

New England Journal of Entrepreneurship will publish 2 issues per year.

Academics and practitioners are welcome to submit original papers that advance research in the field of entrepreneurship. Article topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Venture creation and entrepreneurial processes in national and international contexts
  • Small Business Management
  • Family-Owned Businesses Management
  • Corporate and non-profit entrepreneurship
  • Women entrepreneurship
  • Urban entrepreneurship
  • Social entrepreneurship
  • Gender and minority Issues in entrepreneurship and small & family-owned businesses
  • Entrepreneurship education research
  • Entrepreneurship skills

Peer review

New England Journal of Entrepreneurship operates a double blind peer review model. All articles undergo an initial assessment by the journal editor. If they are considered suitable for peer review, articles will then be a reviewed by a minimum of two external reviewers to assess its suitability for publication. Final responsibility for editorial decisions rest with the journal editor.

Open access

All articles published in New England Journal of Entrepreneurship are published Open Access under a CC BY 4.0 licence. For further information on licencing please see the author guidelines.

New England Journal of Entrepreneurship is published by Emerald Group Publishing on behalf of the Jack Welch College of Business at Sacred Heart University. New England Journal of Entrepreneurship is owned by the Jack Welch College of Business at Sacred Heart University. New England Journal of Entrepreneurship is published under a platinum OA arrangement, in that all charges for publishing an OA article in New England Journal of Entrepreneurship are funded by the Jack Welch College of Business at Sacred Heart University. There is no charge to the author.
